Common questions

Everything you need to know about RV solar installation, components, and what to expect when working with us.

Getting Started

How do I get a quote?
Start with the intake form. It gives us the info we need about your rig, travel style, and goals. We’ll follow up with recommendations and next steps.
How far out are you booked?
Usually 3 to 6 weeks. Spring and summer fill faster, so earlier is better if you have a trip planned.
Do you work with all kinds of RVs?
Yes. And not just those. In addition to motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, vans, toy haulers, and bus conversions, we also build power systems for food carts, tiny homes, and power trailers.

Services + General

What services do you offer?
We install full solar power systems, upgrade existing systems, add components like panels and batteries, and provide support. We also offer paid troubleshooting and DIY consulting.
What’s included in a package install?
All core components, wiring, protection, hardware, testing, and system setup. Optional upgrades cost extra. We go over everything during the intake before you schedule.
Do you offer custom systems?
Yes. If none of the packages fit your rig or power needs, we can design a full custom system. The initial quote is free. If you decide to move forward, there's a design fee that is credited toward the installation cost.
Do you install customer-supplied parts?
Sometimes. We need to check that the parts are safe and compatible. You would handle the manufacturer warranty on anything you provide.

Installation + Logistics

Where do installs happen?
At our shop in Portland, Oregon and occasional pop-up locations. We do almost all work in-shop so we can control the environment and do clean wiring.
How long does installation take?
Most installs take 3 to 8 business days. Larger or more involved systems may take longer.
Can I stay during the install?
Most people drop off their RV and come back when it is finished.

Pricing + Policies

How much does an RV solar install cost?
Refer to our system packages or online form for your personal quote.
Are consultations free?
Yes. Your intake review and quote are free. DIY consulting and troubleshooting are $150 per hour.
Do you warranty your installs?
Yes. We warranty our craftsmanship. If components were purchased through us, we also help with manufacturer warranties.

Support + Long Term

What happens after installation?
We walk you through the system, help set up the monitoring app, and give you documentation. After that, you have lifetime phone, text, and email support.
What if something breaks while I am traveling?
Contact us. Many issues can be diagnosed remotely. If a part needs warranty service, we help you through the process when the component was purchased through us.
